Way to go!!!!! Thumbs up for Hun's team for making tym to get involved in soccer matches and volunteer werk as well!!!! Proud of them. they are one great, comical bunch of guys.. all sorts of gimmicks, 'keletah' ...wargahhahahaa...
Spent sum tym accompanying Hun and his colleagues @ Jamiyah's home for the Aged in Tampines this afternoon. His team played 'kompang', sang sum songs, karaoke-ing with these old folks...practically everyone enjoyed themselves including me...hehee...then..the dancing session came...to my aghast!!! The female folks can really dance lah!!!! Gelek sikit2 pon jadik!!! Very sporting !!!
Well, above all, today's visit was a memorable one..and truly an eye-opener for all of us. Learning to be a fillial child to our parents....to be there throughout their aging phase...I am sure dats all they ask from us.... The Home's Superintendant gave us a tour ard the home. He even shared one touching story . It was about a daughter who was looking for her mother whom was separated from her for almost 30 yrs. They finally managed to track down her mum in this Home. It was a touching meet-up and the daughter wanted to bring her mum back to her home in Malaysia. But within a month, the daughter came back and wanted to place her mum back to this Home coz she couldn't take it; caring for her mum. Thus the Jamiyah Home received the old lady back with open arms. From that day onwards, the old lady doesn't want to move to anywhere else except staying and dying in this Home. It turly hurts to see old folks being treated this way. Where has all those compassion in every human gone? I often hear this malay saying :" Satu mak bole jaga 10 anak..tapi yg 10 anak itu belum tentu bole jaga satu emak"..I find this really, really , really true.
